Present: dhogaza, gustafn, roc, daveb, geoxito, mr_calvin, vguerra

Agenda:
1) AOLServer follow-up: Next release? Naviserver?
2) Move openacs.org to Vienna

Discussion:

1) It was decided not to "decide" about aolserver right now unless someone wants to deal with naviserver:
document how to switch from aol to navi and release it.
naviserver lacks a release although the product is stable. Maybe Tcl 8.5 could be needed for next releases.

Gustaf would not recommend to use tcl 8.6, when it comes out, but 8.5 could be ready for production servers.
but we should still recommend to newbies tcl 8.4 in the docu.
Now, aolserver is using 8.4 in ubuntu distros. debian testing is freeze with 8.4, 8.4 will be on the next stable debian version
It should be considered to package naviserver with aolserver packager.

Geoxito will look and email conclusion about new releases of ubuntu and which Tcl version is going to be delivered with them, and installed by default just installing simply Tcl.

There will probably be an aolserver 4.5.1

2) About moving openacs to Vienna, there is no volunteer. dossy will be happy, if he finds people to help him.
Gustaf offered himself, but in 2 weeks from now. There was not set a timeframe, so maybe it's an agenda item for next week .

Gustaf will try to set up the machine, install everything here and try an upgrade to oacs-5.4 in the same step.
Then, report back to decide when to move the actual server.
No more VM, unless someone wants the VMs for some reason

Roc asks about hosting also dotlrn.org. And a oct account on the machine to.
Maybe the current .LRN site could be a subsite of openacs.org instance.

Tentative agenda for the next meeting:

- Moving openacs.org to Vienna

I don't remember that from the meeting :P

Anyway, lenny is freeze and the default is 8.4. Aolserver package is compiled against 8.4 too, and ubuntu imports aolserver and tcl packages from debian unstable, which is using 8.4 too:
