Maybe Malte can step in here but why do we need a separate ACES/ACS3.4 tarballs? ACES doesn't take anything out, it just unpacks everything so you have a portals based workspace. Even the old workspaces is still there and so is the old admin pages.
Its just like everything else in the ACS..if you don't need the education set-up then just don't use those pages.
BTW I've been working a bit with the 3.4 intranet pages and would be interested in anyone else's work. I'd also be especially interested if anyone has done something interesting with address book and hooking it up better to intranet or using it for spamming.
