Is anybody working on/looking at/thinking about integrating
WebDAV into either OpenACS or AOLServer?

I was under the impression that someone had already done this, in a
pure Tcl layer rather down in nsd/C. Anyone??

WebDAV would be nice to have, particularly since WinXP and OS
X now both support it natively. In the short term, it could be a good
alternative interface for file-storage. In the longer term, it might be
cool to see it interface with ETP or some other CMS solution and
possibly even offer some kind of direct-manipulation interface
alternative to site-map.

Thank you for getting me the attention to this protocol. It runs very fine on (alpha)Apache 2.0. MS Explorer 5.X implement it and it is very cool to be able to mount file system from my site. I like that way because I could stop using ftp which is not very secure and it is very convenient for home workers to access some files on their server.

I did try to access this 'web folder' through the gatekeeper of ACS4 but it fails with this kind of error:

Error: return: failed to redirect '404': exceeded recursion limit of 3

I don't know if it could be solved easily. I the mean time I plan to use Apache as the gatekeeper.
