From what I am able to determine, OKI is not going anywhere at the moment. Even MIT, the home of OKI, has not committed to implementing it.
It's a bit like the couple that has been dating for many many years. One of the couple asks: "When are we getting married?. To which the other replies: "In theory, I am not opposed to marrying you."
