Hi all,

I would like to announce that I've just uploaded this new package to the cvs, it is an alternative and more organized view for the courses in dotlrn, this are the package specifications:
  • Full integration with dotlrn resources: evaluation, assessment, forums, file-storage, HTML and Text Pages (using the Pages package)
  • Use of aolserver cache to assure scalability
  • Weeks and topics formats available
  • Provides a completely independent course home
Full details about this packages in the wiki: https://openacs.org/xowiki/planner_for_dotlrn

This is how the Planner View looks.
Regards,

Hi all, we plan to contribute a 2 columns view for the planner. The right column its the planner view, and the left column have some quick links, like a calendar with the tasks of the month, the last news of community , links to the course tools like assessment, chat and learning content and administrative links.

At Galileo University a new form of navigation for the planner package has been implemented, which consists of a new column with links to ease and speed the access to various course packages that can be installed in the course. This column consists of 4 main sections, 3 of this sections are visible to all users, and only 1 section is enabled for the administrators of the course.

The links that are activated within the navigation column appear according to what packages are installed on the course. The packages that are recognized by the application are:
-Assessment
-Asigments
-Evaluations
-Chat
-Learning Content
-Forum
-File Storage
-News

The new function has been uploaded to the cvs, and its available in HEAD
