It is sad news for all of the developers who were laid off, but hopefully they will manage. The impact on OpenACS is minimal, maybe even beneficial, as some of the code written by AD could make it back into OpenACS {if you convince the right people, aka buying company and customers}.
Finally, we will mirror the books and the asj on our site. Before announcing this further I will ask for permission though.
