The url used in email notifications sent from OACS, and also
displayed in various places on the site do not have the port number
(8000) appended to the end. Probably someplace in the configuration
that I should have specified that, but I can't find where. How can I
fix this?

I don't know the answer to your question, but why don't you change the port to 80? It's in AOLServer config, <your_service>.tcl - look for set httpport

I can hardly imagine anyone who wants a public site that doesn't respond on port 80. This is probably why there is no port in email notifications.

Another web server on the site is already using port 80.
