Hi folks,

I just came accross this feature on IM http://www.darwinmag.com/read/120102/message.html
It seems applications based on Jabber and other techno solutions are a long way from becoming acceped by the real world.

Ben,

I think we have to distinguish between "chat" and the general category of synchronous tools. While synchronous tools are not yet commonplace, they are increasingly recognized as important for certain types of learning and collaborative applications. We will see more, not less.
