An update on dotLRN.
  1. The community is working feverishly on dotLRN v1.0 release. This is our focus for the next 2-4 weeks. I want to thank everyone who is participating in this volunteer effort. Names will be announced when we pass out the awards.

  2. We are also working intensely on dotLRN/OpenACS adoption. You can expect some important announcements in the next month.

  3. We have started planning for dotLRN World Wide Release in July. This will be a multi-faceted campaign, including targeting 10 major institutions/organizations for adoption. The spotlight will shine equally on OpenACS. The intent is to grow the OpenACS community and make dotLRN a configuration of OpenACS. OpenACS is the gem.

Our priorities right now:
help get dotLRN 1.0 out, i18n (almost finished), external authentication (work will start in March), a solution to the problem above (just starting to think about it), complex survey (will be coordinating with Sloan on this after the 1.0 release), work on improving communication, work on the consortium idea, work on additional packages for dotLRN (Events, Research, Wimpy Point, Curriculum, etc.)
