thanks for the detailed description, it's fixed now. It's been the well known IE issue at util_current_location when running virtual servers, together with a firewall protection of the virtual server port.
I have checked http://pcdemo.dnsalias.com/ now from two locations and it doesn't redirect anymore.
I whish you a more pleaseant "experience" now...
