Forum OpenACS Q&A: OACS NYC Social on Dec 6

Collapse

Because the Doctor will be in the House, an OpenACS Social will be
held on Thursday Dec. 6.

The Social will be in honor of Adam "El Lobo Loco" Farkas. The
location is to be determined, but whether there will beer is not.

Vinod, don't worry - I'll have a lampshade ready for you so you don't
have to bring your own.

After discussions with Talli, OpenForce proposes to host this
event at our new offices in Murray Hill. We'll work on setting a
time that works for everyone. We'll have refreshments, fun
people, and maybe a couple of surprises....

What is wrong with the Great Lakes Brewery, other than it is in Cleveland? :)

Either you guys will have to come to Utah to have one of these socials or someone will have to take me to NYC so I can be in this one 😊

Omaha, Nebraska is a nice central location.  You could meet here.

Are there any more details on the time and location at this point?

7: Details on social (response to 1)
Posted by Ben Adida on
The social will be held at OF offices, 114 East 32nd street, suite
507 (5th floor). We'll start at around 5:30pm to allow people to
hang out and leave before any dinner plans they might have...
but we'll probably rage until 7:30 or 8 (and then probably segue
to another location for those hard core people among us like
Vinod).

There'll be refreshments and food. If you plan on attending,
please email mailto:joshua@openforce.net so we can plan size and
such!

I'm responding to this post to remind everyone to show up to this event on the 6th in NYC.  😊

It should be.. most entertaining.  And perhaps some surprises too.

We've heard rumors that some people who are recent fans of OpenACS are hesitating to show up... please don't hesitate! This is for all people interested in OpenACS, even if you found out about it last week and have never written a line of code! Just email joshua@openforce.net to say you're coming!

But what if you have written some code, but live in the Philippines or Cyprus?

If you're closer to San Fran (regardless of your code-writing accomplishments) come on down to our meeting on Dec 19th.
