I have an registration assessment that sometimes it works and others it doesn't.

Sometimes it works - it shows up the registration form and after submit takes me directly to the page my account, inside the sytem and i can change my info right there. i'm also suposed to receive an email with the pwd, which it's not working either.

and others doesn't - after hit submit it goes to the login's page and i'm locked out from the system, because i don't know the password and i haven't got the email with it.

- i just got one from five i'm suposed to get.

- there isn't any error message it just takes me to the logins page, like if the return_redirect proc hadn't worked out.
- error.log: check it out -

i am not using assessment, so i can't comment on the main issue. however, i know the localization-grouping issue, which is not related to your problem. The localization grouping problem is described in bug #2905. i fixed it just now in cvs 5-2 and head, since we are using the fix since a while in production without problems.

Hi Iuri, I've been trying to figure out what is happening but I dont have a clue yet, maybe you can do something to debug the error: go to assessment/tcl/as-action-proc.tcl, there is a procedure to execute the action, there is an "eval $tcl_code" instruction, use a try catch to get the error an display it on the log, if you want, send it to me and I'll check it out later.

You should verify first if your server is sending emails.

Follow this simple instructions first http://acornhosting.net/articles/openacs_email/

And after that if you see that openacs is the problem then you should check the following:
the mailhost on config.tcl

and maybe check on the subsite acs-mail-lite:
Param SendmailBin SMTP
