Using VMware gave minor complications (RedHat installation, XML validation). For example, VMware needs to boot with 'Linux Text'. I'll send you my notes, shortly, just in case you are willing to include VMware (or Bochs? https://openacs.org/forums/message-view?message_id=59690) in your 4.6 update.
