acs-core has many references to developer support. To ease development of acs-core and ds, it would be much better to integrate these stronger by adding the ds to the list of packages contained in acs-core.

Developer support I think is only intended to be installed on a development server. I suspect some people have it running on production sites anyway.

the developer-support is not auto-installed, so adding it to the core does not mean that this will be installed automatically. Nevertheless, also production-sites need frequently the developer support for bottle-neck analysis under real load, which requires the developer support turned on for short periods.

i think the suggestion is a good one. ds calls are all-over the core, which means tht ds has to be tightly coupled with core components.
